Churches vandalised in Pakistan over blasphemy allegations
Members of Teheek-e-Labbaik Pakistan set fire to five Christian churches in Punjab province, Pakistan, after two Christians were accused of blasphemy. A Christian cleaner was accused of defiling pages of the Koran, prompting the mob's action. Hundreds fled their homes, and valuables were looted. Local Christian residents accused the police of inaction, whilst the president bishop of the Church of Pakistan called for immediate action against the extremists and called for justice.
