IndiGo Leads in The Country’s Four Metro AirportsAccording to data released by aviation regulator DGCA, IndiGo Airlines was the leader in terms of on-time performance (OTP) at four metro airports in the country in the month of February. Its performance was a best of 95.4 percent. While Go First came second with 94.1 percent.

This was the situation in the month of January
The data said IndiGo had the best OTP at four airports namely Bengaluru, Delhi, Hyderabad and Mumbai. On the other hand, if we look at the figures of the previous month, then the matter was completely opposite. In January, GoFirst recorded the best OTP of 94.5 per cent across the four airports, while IndiGo was second with 93.9 per cent.

Indigo expressed happiness
An IndiGo spokesperson said that this OTP is heartening despite the most challenging circumstances. We have been able to improve our OTP to 95.4 per cent in February 2022 from an annual monthly average of 93.5 per cent in 2021. He added that IndiGo will live up to its promise of an affordable, timely, safe and hassle-free travel experience for its customers.

OTP of other airline
According to DGCA data, Vistara, SpiceJet, Air India, AirAsia India and Alliance Air had OTPs of 90.9 per cent, 90.9 per cent, 89.8 per cent, 88.5 per cent and 88.5 per cent, respectively, in February. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation on Monday said that around 76.96 lakh domestic passengers traveled by air in February, which is almost 20 per cent more than 64.08 lakh who flew in January.
